As part of celebrating our 100 years of service as an all-volunteer fire department, our members established the Fred J. Gross Memorial Community Service Award in 2016. The award is named in the memory of Mr. Fred J. Gross, a past Fire Chief of our department, who assisted the local community in their time of need for over 45 dedicated years. Past Fire Chief Gross was instrumental in not only recruiting new members to our company, but took the time to mentor our members, as well as assisting others in their time of need.
We wish to recognize a graduating high school senior who has freely given his/her own free time in assisting others through community service during the 2017 – 2018 school year.
To be considered for this annual monetary award, a graduating high school senior who resides within our fire coverage area which consist of Upper Macungie Township and Lower Macungie Township must complete and return the attached application to the fire company no later than April 24, 2018.
